El SUZUKI JIMNY WIDE (GF-JB33W) es el hermano mayor del JIMNY original. Está basado en el chasis y la plataforma del JIMNY original, pero como su nombre indica, ostenta un conjunto cuerpo/guardarrabos más ancho, para una postura todoterreno más agresiva. El motor también recibió una mejora (proporcional) a 1300cc (85ps) que si bien lo coloca fuera de las especificaciones de la clase 'kei', no deja de ser un motor pequeño, por lo que debe gozar de impuestos vehiculares reducidos en la mayoría de los países en comparación con otros crossover/todoterrenos. Además de ello, conserva el mismo tren de transmisión del JIMNY original, así como las mismas opciones de caja de cambios.
