The Dodge Challenger muscle car is the perfect balance of old-school good looks with contemporary sports performance. Released in 1970, the American classic has held up to the test of time and is currently in its third generation with a 2020 model year. For the 2012 edition, the Challenger arrives fitted with, as standard, a 3.6L 305 hp V6 six-cylinder engine mated to a five-speed automatic transmission, while the Challenger R/T and SRT8 models receive a 5.7L 372 hp V8 eight-cylinder mated to either a six-speed manual or five-speed automatic transmission. The Challenger uses an RWD layout, and achieves an estimated fuel efficiency of 6.4 to 11.5 km/l.
In addition to standard features such as push-button start, proximity key, a six-speaker stereo with an auxiliary jack and automatic climate control, the 2012 Dodge Challenger is also available with, optionally, a sunroof, leather upholstery, heated front seats, automatic headlights, a Boston Acoustics stereo system with a touch-screen display and an 18-speaker Harman Kardon surround-sound audio system. Standard safety features include front driver and passenger, front and rear head, and front side airbags, brake assist, traction control and electronic stability control.
