The Sprinter Sedan is a basic sedan and has been called the “brother” of the Corolla sedan. It was sold from 1968 to 2002. In Japan, it is still a popular model since it is only available second-hand. The 1500 CC engine is especially popular for drivers who enjoy driving with a manual transmission.
The lineup includes a total of five engines including the 1.6 L DOHC 20 valve dedicated GT, 110 HP 1.6 L, 100 HP 1.5 L, 85 HP 1.3 L gasoline engines and 2.2 L diesel. The drive system is available both in FF and full-time 4WD. The combined transmission is based on a 165-hp 1.6-liter 6-speed MT and 4-speed AT, and other grades are 5-speed MT and 4-speed AT.
