The Sprinter Sedan is a basic sedan and has been called the “brother” of the Corolla sedan. It was sold from 1968 to 2002. In Japan, it is still a popular model since it is only available second-hand. The 1500 CC engine is especially popular for drivers who enjoy driving with a manual transmission.
The lineup includes a total of five engines including the 1.6 L DOHC 20 valve dedicated GT, 110 HP 1.6 L, 100 HP 1.5 L, 85 HP 1.3 L gasoline engines and 2.2 L diesel. The drive system is available both in FF and full-time 4WD. The combined transmission is based on a 165-hp 1.6-liter 6-speed MT and 4-speed AT, and other grades are 5-speed MT and 4-speed AT.
All vehicles are equipped with dual airbags, ABS, seatbelt with pretensioner and force limiter as standard safety equipment. With plenty of legroom and headroom available, the interior of the Sprinter Sedan also offers power steering and windows, an advanced anti-lock braking system, added airbags, and manual air conditioning. Additionally, its exterior design is sleek and timeless, offering elongated lines and thin, powerful headlights.
Also known under a number of names including the Toyota Corolla Sprinter, Geo Prizm, and Chevrolet Nova, the Toyota Sprinter Sedan is a favorite of those looking for a functional sedan to meet their family or for professional needs.
