The Toyota Prado, also known as the Land Cruiser Prado, is a true blue SUV that doesn't just chase after off-road capability, but also on-road drive performance. Earlier editions of the Prado such as the 2006 model year feature one of two body types — a 4715 mm long 5-door that seats either five or seven passengers, and a 4340 mm 3-door short body that seats five. This model year of the Prado comes with a 2.7L 161 hp inline four-cylinder, a 3.0L 168 hp inline four-cylinder turbo diesel, or a 4.0L 246 hp V6 six-cylinder engine. All use a full-time 4WD, and the 2.7L and 3.0L are mated to a four-speed automatic transmission, while the 4.0L is mated to a five-speed.
The top grade of Prados, the TZ G Selection, is installed with Vehicle Stability Control, as well as wood grain parts and genuine leather seats with heaters. Standard equipment on the Prado include power windows, central door locking system, steering tilt mechanism and 17-inch tires.
