The 2000 Toyota TownAce Noah is a member of the model's first (1996-2001) generation, with the model code GF-SR40G and an average fuel economy of 10.4-11.6 km/l. The engine is a water-cooled inline 4-cylinder DOHC 16 valve, and the transmission has improved to be an electronically controlled column shift 4-speed AT, and a 5-speed MT is available only for 2WD and gasoline models. The Super Extra Limited features a silver-painted head and front turn lamp, metal full wheel cap, special seats and door trim, wood grain dash trim and power windows, and easy close sliding doors. The “Road Tourer Limited” is equipped with aluminum wheels, special striped tape, special seats and leather door trim, special sport meter, hammer tone instrument panel and power windows, with a metallic front door inside handle.
