The VANGUARD is TOYOTA’s premium mid-sized SUV. It’s available in 2 seating configurations; a 5 seater (e.g. DBA-ACA33W) and 7 seater with folding rear seats (e.g. DBA-GSA33W). Although features can vary depending on the grade, you can expect to find premium luxuries on the top tier models including climate control, electric adjusting/heated seats, active torque control 4WD and 18 inch alloy wheels. Each model is offered with a choice of 2 engines; inline 4 cylinder (170ps approx.) or a V6 (280ps approx.). Only a CVT/Automatic transmission is available across the range.
2-Wheel drive is available in the 2.4L engine models, and all vehicles deliver excellent fuel economy and high environmental performance. Improvements made after its first launch include a much more sleek interior design with a dark gray and beige color scheme and new colors for the exterior were added to the lineup.
Hill start assist control and downhill assist control (DAC) control help to prevent the vehicle from slipping when driving on slopes is standard on all models. Additionally, a safety feature was added to reduce whiplash that is standard across all vehicles in the driver and passenger seats, with other optional features including adjustable power seat with heater and genuine leather seating found included within higher grades and trims.
