Few cars have withstood the test of time like the Honda Civic. The Civic was first released as small sedan in 1972, redesigned as a mid-sized sedan with a more spacious cabin in 2005, and has continued to be in Honda's lineup to this day. In addition to its space, the 2700mm long and 1750mm wide Civic is both elegant and stylish, incorporating futuristic monoform features. A balance of economy and performance, the Civic's 1.8L (2005) i-VTEC engine is able to achieve the speed of a 2L engine all while maintaining the 17km/l fuel efficiency of a 1.5L engine. This amazing fuel efficiency is further improved upon in the hybrid Civic (31.0km/l) that comes fitted with a 3 stage i-VTEC+IMA engine. The standard Civic comes with a FF 5 speed AT, with certain models coming with a 5 speed MT.
In the interior, the speedometer and tachometer have been practically positioned on the upper and lower decks, respectively, of the futuristic multiplex meter display. Other first-class features in the Civic include the Intelligent Highway Cruise Control (IHCC) and Collision Mitigation System with E-pretensioner that not only warns the driver of imminent collision, but also reduces damage caused by mitigating the force of impact in the case of collision.
