Taking over for the Nissan Otti in 2013, the Nissan Dayz is a light motor vehicle produced by Mitsubishi Motors under the "Mitsubishi eK" brand. Its first model year comprises the J, S and X variations, as well as the sharp and impactful Highway Star, Highway Star X and Highway Star G trims - all of which comes powered by a 660cc inline three-cylinder engine mated to a CVT transmission for an engine output of 48 hp. Besides the J and the Highway Star, all trims of the Dayz utilize an idling stop system and EGR cooler.
The Nissan Dayz has undergone a full model change for its 2019 model year, getting a new engine, a new CVT, a new Smart Simple Hybrid powertrain with a lithium-ion battery, and becoming the first Kei car to get Nissan's ProPilot Intelligent Mobility system. The 2019 "Turbo" trims get a 660cc intercooler inline three-cylinder turbo engine that makes 63 hp. Fuel efficiency for this model year ranges from 22.8 to 29.8 km/l. Standard safety features include the latest intelligent emergency braking system which helps avoid collisions and reduce damage in an accident.
