The 2017 to 2020 versions were powered by a 3.0L turbocharged V6 six-cylinder gasoline engine that made 354 hp or a 3.0L TDI V6 six-cylinder that produced 347 hp and got adaptive dampers and a standard all-wheel-drive system. In its base trim, the SQ5 received 20-inch alloy wheels, a tweaked suspension, automatic xenon headlights, LED running lights, automatic wipers, a sunroof and a power liftgate, aluminum roof rails, and heated, power-folding mirrors. For the 2020 model year onwards, the SQ5 got even more standard features, including bucket seats with high bolstering and an Audi Virtual Cockpit TFT display in the instrument cluster.
