Suzuki is well-known for its "kei" class cars (compact, sub 1.0L engine vehicles) in Japan. Since 1970, the Jimny has been the manufacturer’s kei-sized crossover/off-roader featuring the legendary ladder frame. Feature highlights on this model year include part-time 4WD with sub-transmission, a drive action 4x4 that allows for switching between 4H and 2H even while driving, a change-up in the height and construction of its front hood to mitigate the impact to pedestrians in the case of collision, as well as fixing anchors for ISOFIX compliant child seats.
